Voice Lessons
For the individual, two formats are offered. One is the classic one on one private voice lesson and the other is in a semi-private workshop context. If you have no previous voice experience, I recommend starting with the workshops where the fundamentals are explored in a small supportive group. This option also works well if you have sung previously but have had a long period where you have not been singing and want to get the voice going again. The workshop option is also a less costly than private lessons. Different levels are offered.
Some people sense right from the start that they want to begin with private lessons, which of course is fine. Otherwise, private lessons are also recommended for people who already have a sense of their voice, or have specific repertoire to prepare for concerts, auditions etc. The private studio is also best for people who are dealing with vocal fatigue, pitch difficulty, or any other challenges that inhibit the singing process. Some of my private students started in the workshops and once they learned the basics, moved on to private lessons.
For vocal ensembles:
From 1992 to 2001 I worked in Switzerland and France as a consultant and voice technician for small and large vocal ensembles. Often a conductor would ask me in to do regular short-term sessions to work on the overall sound of the choir, or to coach an individual section. Closer to performances or recordings I would come in for a last "tweaking" of sound or dynamics according to the request of the conductor. I also offered one day or weekend workshops for choirs that wanted to spend some time working together outside of the regular rehearsal times.
